Who keeps the guide
Who keeps Late Checkout
Late Checkout is written and edited by its own editors, signed as the Late Checkout editors, and carries no personal byline. The premise: three of the five GTA casinos have a hotel upstairs and two do not, so a night out ending in a room depends on the casino.
Who keeps it
The Late Checkout editors are the guide's in-house team. They sign every page together, never under a personal name. The guide is not a casino, not a hotel and not a booking service. It takes no bets, sells no rooms and has no accounts.
The province, OLG, help services, transit agencies, hotels and casinos pay the guide nothing, and readers receive no rewards. Paid links sit only on the home page, each marked Ad, and all lead to one online casino partner. That partner may change. The site earns a commission from those links, which are meant only for players physically located in Ontario. Inner pages carry no paid links.
How facts are checked
The Late Checkout editors check each hotel's rooms, rules and parking, and each casino's hours, on the venues' own pages. They also read the operator's update page for temporary changes. Official transit and provincial pages are read as well. These checks were made on October 7 and 8, 2026.
Every temporary change carries the date it was checked. Where official pages give different figures, the editors leave the figure out. What the venues do not publish stays off the site: room prices, holiday hours, the number of accessible parking spaces. The full method is on the page How the rooms are checked.
About the pictures
Every picture is an image-generator illustration, not a photograph; scenes of real places were redrawn from real photographs of them. They include a Pickering Casino Resort suite and guest room, the Casino Ajax slot floor and Great Blue Heron's entrance at dusk. Two show racetracks: the floodlit harness track at Woodbine Mohawk Park beside Elements Casino Mohawk, and Woodbine Racetrack at sunrise beside Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto. The key card and car key on a desk show no real place. The people in the pictures are fictional: none is a real guest or works for a casino, a hotel or OLG.
Writing to the guide
Corrections are welcome at [email protected]. So is news of a rule or an hour that has changed, or a question on how the editors check the rooms. The inbox belongs to the guide alone and is connected to no casino or hotel. Reservations and hotel questions belong with the hotel itself.
